One of my favourite pass times is to watch the Gannet colony at Muriwai beach in Auckland. Every summer the Gannets migrate in groups to Muriwai Beach to mate and lay eggs. The repetitive task of flying out, finding food and feeding their babies is a lot of fun to watch. That's exactly when I got my canvas and easel out and started painting! Life is good!
